Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, considers the Year of Community a
vital national initiative that promotes the UAE's enduring values of tolerance, coexistence, ambition, and openness.
These values are key to empowering society and reinforcing national unity by encouraging behaviours that strengthen
family and social bonds.

The initiative emphasises shared responsibility through preserving heritage and identity, fostering meaningful
connections, and contributing to community support through volunteering and impactful initiatives.

In an exclusive interview with Aletihad, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak emphasised that "national identity" and
"tolerance" are not just slogans, but interconnected actions that begin with awareness and lead to building a cohesive
society that takes pride in its history and embraces its diversity.
