Tourism boom continues; sector to contribute 12% to the economy this year:

The tourism sector is set to contribute 12% to the UAE’s GDP this year after a 11%
contribution last year, said Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy, at the
Arabian Travel Market on Tuesday.

“According to the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), our tourism sector has been
a dynamic force within our economy, contributing an impressive 11.7% to GDP [in
2023], amounting to Dh220 billion,” Al Marri said at the event.
