International Education Summit

Miqyas Al Dhad, a leading initiative in Arabic language education, highlighted the importance of

structured linguistic frameworks and technology integration in advancing Arabic literacy at the fourth
edition of the Sharjah International Summit on Improvement in Education. The initiative, developed
through a strategic collaboration between Alef Education and MetaMetrics®, aims to improve reading
proficiency and literacy outcomes across the Arab world.

During the summit, Miqyas Al Dhad was recognized for its outstanding contribution to Arabic language

education, receiving an award of excellence in the presence of HE Dr. Muhadditha Al Hashimi,
Chairperson of the Sharjah Private Education Authority and President of Sharjah Education Academy.
This recognition further strengthens the platform’s position as a Knowledge Partner, driving innovation

in Arabic literacy development.

Enhancing Literacy Through Technology And Frameworks

Speaking at the summit, Eyad Darawsheh, General Manager of Miqyas Al Dhad, expressed his
gratitude for the award and emphasized the platform's commitment to improving Arabic
literacy through technological innovation and structured language frameworks. He stated, “We are
honored to participate in the Sharjah International Summit on Improvement in Education. This summit

provides an invaluable platform to showcase our innovative framework aimed at enhancing literacy
skills for Arabic speakers across the region. The award serves as a testament to our mission of
transforming educational standards and leveraging technology for language development.”

As part of the summit, Dr. Hanan Khalifa, Chief Academic Officer of Miqyas Al Dhad, delivered a

session titled ‘Standards, Frameworks, and Scales in Arabic Language Education.’ The session
explored the role of standardized linguistic frameworks and proficiency scales in shaping curriculum
design, assessment strategies, and instructional methodologies. Dr. Khalifa emphasized that the
adoption of global best practices in language education, while catering to the unique learning needs of

Arabic speakers, is critical in fostering higher literacy rates across the region.

Promoting Data-Driven Educational Solutions

Building on the importance of literacy development, Eyad Darawsheh presented another session
titled ‘Miqyas Al Dhad: Ambition of a Nation, Future of a Generation’, which emphasized
the transformative potential of the Arabic Reading Scale in driving future-ready learning outcomes. He
