        emphasized that the adoption of unified electoral regulations will serve as a

        standard framework for sports federations across the UAE, reinforcing integrity,

        equal opportunity and procedural fairness in line with internationally


        recognized Olympic standards.


        The presentation highlighted that the approved regulatory framework aligns


        with best international practices, the Olympic Charter, international sports

        federation regulations, the NOC’s statutes and national laws. This alignment

        supports institutional autonomy while ensuring effective governance of the

        sports electoral system.


        The Council also discussed the UAE’s participation in the Winter Olympic

        Games, taking place in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo from February 6 to 22.

        Members described the participation as historic, marking the UAE’s first


        appearance at the Winter Olympics and reflecting the steady progress of the

        national sports ecosystem. The UAE is represented by athletes Alexander

        Astridge and Piera Hudson, who are competing in alpine skiing events.


        HE Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi reaffirmed the Ministry of Sports and the NOC’s

        commitment to supporting athletes and sports federations, enabling them to

        represent the UAE on international platforms. Dr. Al Falasi expressed his best

        wishes to the participating athletes, noting that their involvement reflects the


        country’s growing sporting ambitions and achievements.

        Dr. Al Falasi also underscored the Council’s role as a key platform for

        coordination and exchange of expertise among member entities, stressing that


        enhanced collaboration aims to shift the sports sector from fragmented efforts

        to a fully integrated national ecosystem. Al Falasi further highlighted the

        Council’s focus on aligning sporting agendas across emirates, supporting the

        objectives of the 2026 ‘Year of Family’, and promoting community initiatives

        that encourage sports participation across all segments of society.


        HE Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports, noted


        that discussions on electoral regulations demonstrate a strong commitment to
