good governance, transparency and equal opportunities within the UAE’s
sports institutions. Al Hajeri added that unifying regulatory frameworks in line
with national legislation and the Sports Law contributes significantly to
improving institutional performance and achieving excellence across sports
entities.

HE Faris Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of the UAE National Olympic Committee,
highlighted that sustained institutional integration and coordination are
essential to advancing the national Olympic movement. He stated that these
efforts strengthen the UAE’s position as a regional and global model for
autonomy, transparency and good governance in sports, in full alignment with
the Olympic Charter and international requirements.
The Council also reviewed additional agenda items, with members stressing the
importance of continuous coordination and joint institutional action to ensure
sustainable development of the sports sector. These efforts support the
