In a session on women's impact in government, Hessa Buhumaid and Aisha Miran discussed women's growing leadership
roles. Buhumaid emphasised Emirati women's contributions over 50 years in education and community development.
Miran noted that their participation sets a regional example, supported by initiatives from H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint
Mubarak and H.H. Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Khaled Al Nuaimi highlighted the strategic importance of empowering young women in nation-building. He noted that
women make up over 73% of local youth council members and 48% of participants in the Emirates Youth Global Initiative.
This involvement is crucial for sustainable development across sectors like economy, diplomacy, and innovation.
Shayma Alawadhi discussed women's role in advancing the private sector and Emiratisation. She noted that women under
35 account for more than 70% of Emirati employees in this sector. Their contributions are significant in fields like AI,
renewable energy, and the digital economy.
Alawadhi stressed initiatives like the Nafis programme that empower women through supportive workplace policies and
continuous professional development. This reflects the UAE leadership's commitment to making both men and women
equal contributors to national progress.
