Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday (PBUH) is one of several national occasions that rely on the lunar
cycle to determine the exact start date. It is observed every year on the 12th day of the Islamic month
        of Rabi’ Al-Awwal.
In the UAE, the crescent for Rabi’ Al-Awwal was spotted on Sunday August 24, meaning that
Monday August 25 was the first day of the Hijri month.
