11/13/24, 4:10 PM                      UAE-Pakistan collaboration set to modernize maritime and logistics sectors
            Pakistan to explore enhancing the country’s maritime, rail, airport, customs,
            and logistics infrastructure.

            The MoUs were exchanged in Islamabad in the presence of Pakistan’s Prime

            Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, UAE Minister of State for Foreign
            Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan

            Mohammad Ishaq Dar, UAE Ambassador to Pakistan Hamad Obaid Alzaabi,
            and several senior officials from both AD Ports Group and Pakistan’s Kaheel

            Group.

            The agreements were concluded with key Pakistani authorities, including

            the Federal Board of Revenue, Ministry of Railways, National Shipping
            Corporation, Karachi Port Trust, and the Pakistan Airports Authority.

            Under the MoUs, AD Ports Group and Pakistan’s relevant agencies will

            explore collaborative efforts in areas including customs, rail infrastructure,
            airport development, maritime shipping, and logistics.

            Key areas of focus include improving digital customs controls, establishing

            dedicated freight rail corridors, upgrading the maritime fleet, and
            enhancing airport infrastructure.
