The UAE's hotel sector has generated around $12.3 billion (AED 45 billion) in revenue in 2024,
registering a 3% growth compared to the previous year.
Tourism revenues
Hotel occupancy rates also rose to 78%, positioning the UAE among the top performers both
regionally and globally, state-run Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported on Monday, citing
Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Emirates Tourism Council.
The growth was bolstered by the launch of 16 new hotels across the seven emirates in 2024,
bringing the total number of hotels in the UAE to 1,251 by the end of the year.
The number of hotel rooms increased by 3%, reaching 216,966 by the close of 2024.
