UAE Ministry of Sports to Host "Future of Sports Retreat" to Drive Vision for Expansion of the
National Sports Community

"Under the guidance of our wise leadership, Emirati sports are embarking on a new era. This retreat
offers an ideal platform to explore the future of UAE sports and strategies for the advancement of
the national sports sector."

• The retreat will focus on five key themes: Youth and Sports, University Sports, Sports and
Public Diplomacy, Preparations for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, and the Integration of
the UAE’s Sports Ecosystem.

• New recommendations and initiatives are expected to propel the UAE's presence on both
regional and global sports stages.
The UAE Ministry of Sports will host the "Future of Sports Retreat" on October 22, 2024, in Dubai,
marking a significant milestone in the nation’s sports landscape. Themed "A New Vision... A Better
Sports Future," this inaugural event will gather ministers, government officials, and industry experts
from the sports sector and related fields, alongside athletes from the UAE's national Olympic and
Paralympic teams.
This retreat represents the UAE's commitment to advancing its sports sector in alignment with
national development goals. H.E. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, emphasized that
this is a key moment for Emirati sports, stating: “Our wise leadership has elevated the role of sports
