Attendees explored innovative CSR solutions tailored to increase the private sector’s role in advancing
UAE’s sustainability agenda. Companies were guided on how CSR can enhance brand value, support

ESG compliance, and boost community engagement. Through interactive sessions, private sector
representatives learned to align their efforts with high-priority national initiatives.

Jamal Saeed Buzanjal emphasised the importance of CSR in fostering a knowledge-based economy,
stating that CSR is not just a responsibility but a strategic business advantage. By adopting CSR

practices, companies can contribute to a more sustainable future while enhancing their competitiveness.

This workshop is part of Sharjah’s ongoing efforts to engage the private sector in national
development goals, encouraging businesses to shift from profit-driven models to purpose-driven

approaches that contribute to the UAE’s vision for a sustainable economy.
