The introduction of gamification to teaching Arabic has also transformed the learning

experience. Learners are immersed in dynamic environments where they can practice their

language skills in real-life scenarios, reinforcing vocabulary, grammar and cultural
understanding in a fun, motivating way.

In addition, multimedia platforms enrich the learning experience by offering interactive

lessons, video tutorials and podcasts that cater to different learning preferences. For

example, YouTube channels such as Learn Arabic with Maha, Madinah

Arabic and ArabicPod101 allow learners to listen to native speakers, observe correct
pronunciation and gain insight into the rhythm and intonation of spoken Arabic. By

listening to podcasts such as ArabicPod or BBC Arabic, learners can improve

comprehension, expand their vocabulary and keep up to date with current events in the

Arabic-speaking world. Social media is also a suitable platform to assist students in

learning Arabic. They can join Arabic language learning communities and interact with
native Arabic speakers to improve their speaking and listening skills.

But amid the plethora of digital tools, there are still challenges. A study titled “Arabic

Language Learning Based on Technology (Opportunities and Challenges in the Digital

Era),” published in the International Journal of Education, Language and Social Science,

highlights several challenges in technology-based Arabic learning, such as inconsistent
content quality, unstable internet access and a need for more social interaction. At the

same time, Khalati and Al-Romany (2020) point out several language-specific challenges

AI faces in Arabic texts, including: “The roots of words and their derivations. … The

analytical basis of power in the Arabic language. … The presence of synonymy, antinomy,

        and metonymy.”
