4/15/24, 9:11 AM New OSH guide launched for government employees in Dubai
        risk management.

          In detail:

Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has launched a new

publication for government employees that aims to bring all occupational health and
safety information into one place and help OSH upskilling.

The publication titled “Guide of Health, Occupational Safety and the Environment in the Government
of Dubai” creates a single source of reference to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation

        and standards.

DGHR said in a press release that it hoped the publication would help foster occupational health and
safety risk management, build institutional capacity in terms of managing risks and help meet key

        performance indicators.

Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed said the guide echoed the department's “commitment to establishing a

safe and healthy work environment which considers factors such as environmental sustainability,
        employee satisfaction and functional well-being”.

“These factors have a positive influence on an employee's performance and society at large as well as

contribute to achieving institutional goals,” he said.

DGHR said the guide would create a unified reference for health and safety for government employees
and would help meet KPIs regarding occupational health and safety. It will also be used to assess the

        impact of OSH policies.

Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General DGHR, said: “We are confident that implementing
this handbook will result in the establishment of a strong culture of prevention and risk management,

making our institutions more equipped and prepared to handle future challenges and advance
        sustainable growth.”
