UAE Engages In 116th Arab Economic And Social Council
Meeting In Cairo To Enhance Regional Cooperation

Economic and Social Council, held at the Arab League's headquarters in Cairo from August 31 to September 3, 2025. This
session, chaired by Tunisia, brought together delegations from member states to discuss enhancing Arab cooperation in
economic and social sectors. Key topics included sustainable development plans and regional and international issues of
high priority.
Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, led the UAE delegation. He highlighted
that under its leadership, the UAE is dedicated to shaping and implementing initiatives that promote Arab economic
integration. "The session represents an important milestone in aligning positions and coordinating joint efforts toward
achieving comprehensive development across the region," he stated.
