Forest, healthy living island, lagoon:
property marketing goes into overdrive
Justin Harper
Developers are keen to set themselves apart with plenty of ‘first-of-its-kind’s
How many trees does it take to make a forest? Not an easy question to answer.
For Majid Al Futtaim, the figure is 35,000 trees.
Majid Al Futtaim Properties has just unveiled “the first forest living community in Dubai”
which is to be released in eight phases between now and 2031.
Ghaf Woods will cover 738,000 square metres of land and have more than 7,000 premium
units set within a woodland.
Residents can expect perfect views of the forest ecosystem, said Majid Al Futtaim in a
statement.
This is part of a trend growing among property developers to build first-of-its-kind features
for new developments which can then be used heavily in marketing.
Think forests. lagoons, private islands and every sports facility you can think of (running
track, cricket pitch, pickleball and snooker).
Wellness private island
Abu Dhabi-based real estate developer IMKAN is building SHA Residences Emirates – a
private island incorporating holistic wellness, a health resort, and residential offerings.
This will be the first such development of its kind and has sparked plenty of interest from
prospective buyers,
The developer calls it “a life-changer” impacting the lives of over 75,000 people worldwide,
and with over 100 international awards under its belt.
To be fair, that will be a hard one to follow.
But not to be outdone, Binghatti is developing the world’s tallest residential structure in
Dubai – Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences.
The UAE developer is launching ultra-luxury Dubai skyscraper in cooperation with Jacob &
Co and the proposed design of ‘hypertower’ comprises over 100 stories.
