      Strengthening Ties Between the UAE and Iraq



      During the meeting, Noura Al Kaabi conveyed the greetings of His Highness

      Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness


      Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of

      the UAE. She expressed the leaders’ best wishes for the continued advancement

      and progress of Iraq and its people. In return, Masrour Barzani transmitted his


      greetings to the UAE leadership, emphasizing the shared goals of both nations.


      Expanding Areas of Cooperation



      The two leaders examined the longstanding, friendly relations between the UAE


      and Iraq, particularly the Kurdistan Region. They explored various areas for

      enhancing collaboration, reaffirming the deep historical ties that bind their

      countries in political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian aspects. The dialogue


      underscored a mutual interest in further developing these connections, ensuring that

      both nations benefit from diversified cooperation.


      A Collaborative Cultural Initiative




      This significant meeting coincided with the participation of the UAE in an official

      ceremony to inaugurate several cultural and heritage sites that were reconstructed

      in Mosul, Iraq. This initiative, funded by the UAE in collaboration with UNESCO,


      exemplifies the commitment to preserving cultural heritage and emphasizes the role

      of cooperation in fostering community ties. Noura Al Kaabi, leading a delegation

      alongside Sheikh Salem Al Qasimi, Minister of Culture, and other officials,

      showcased the UAE’s dedication to supporting Iraq through cultural revitalization


      efforts.
