In a significant step to strengthen ties between the United Arab Emirates and Iraq, the
Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, Masrour Barzani,
welcomed two high-ranking UAE officials. Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, UAE
Minister of State, and Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, UAE Minister of Culture,
visited the Kurdistan Region to discuss matters of mutual interest and ways to enhance
cooperation between the two nations.
This meeting highlighted the strong fraternal relations between Iraq and the UAE,
reflecting decades of close ties and shared interests in political, economic, cultural, and
humanitarian fields.

Focus on Bilateral Relations and Cooperation
During the meeting, the officials focused on reviewing the current state of relations
between the UAE and Iraq, with particular attention to the Kurdistan Region. They
explored avenues for expanding cooperation across multiple sectors. Both sides
