UAE says supply chain access is key to economic growth

As a special guest of South Africa, the G20 president for 2025, the UAE delegation strongly supported the
integration of developing economies into global supply chains

The UAE has once again affirmed its commitment to an open, rules-based trading

system that drives sustainable economic growth, job creation, and industrialisation at
the G20 Trade and Investment Working Group.

As a special guest of South Africa, the G20 president for 2025, the UAE delegation also
strongly supported the integration of developing economies into global supply chains,
a just green transition, and the reform of the WTO to create a fairer and more inclusive

trading system.

Tapping into global trade networks

The concept of integrating developing economies into global supply chains is based on

the idea that these nations can tap into global trade networks, access new markets,
attract investment, and generate job opportunities.
