With 448 graduates in collaboration with SKGEP
HBMSU continues its efforts to empower skilled national professionals

February 15, 2024 – Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) continues its

efforts to empower skilled national professionals, as it announced the graduation of 448
learners across 18 cohorts from the esteemed Professional Diploma Program in the

Government Excellence Model (GEM 2.0). Designed in collaboration with Sheikh Khalifa
Government Excellence Program (SKGEP), this initiative empowers a generation of leaders

specialised in the realm of excellence, with its objectives aimed at cultivating a culture of

excellence as well as offering guidance and support to government entities in effectively

implementing the Government Excellence Model.

The Professional Diploma Program in the Government Excellence Model reflects the

University’s unwavering commitment to invest in Emirati youth and position the country as

one of the world’s leading and most advanced nations. This innovative initiative represents a

significant step towards providing innovative and smart educational solutions that cater to the
needs and aspirations of the government sector. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies and

adhering to global standards and best practices in the field of excellence, the program offers
a unique and flexible learning experience for the participants.

Delivered by 12 seasoned experts in the field of excellence, the program is primarily divided

into three main phases. The initial phase, ‘Introduction to Government Excellence’, serves as

a comprehensive introduction, offering participants a deep understanding of the excellence

concept, national agenda, along with institutional excellence models and strategies. The

second phase – Government Excellence Model – expands the participants’ understanding of

the UAE government’s excellence model, strategic planning components, initiative
