        The inspections aimed to maintain a robust food and health ecosystem, support flexible

        food supply chains, and ensure food security, contributing to Dubai’s appeal as a

        sustainable city.




        Dr. Naseem Mohammad Rafee, Acting CEO of the Environment, Health & Safety Agency,
        emphasized the Municipality's focus on developing and enhancing safety across these

        sectors. The health and safety teams, consisting of 95 supervisors, carried out 26,566

        inspections, including six campaigns targeting hotel facilities, shisha cafes, hair salons,

        beauty centres, workers' accommodations, and public markets. They also evaluated over

        17,000 shipments of consumer products at ports to ensure compliance with safety

        standards.




        The food safety teams performed 18,374 inspections in various food establishments,

        including restaurants, hotels, cafes, and commercial centers, with 2,733 reports filed on
        food safety issues. During this period, 1,373 new food establishments were opened,

        bringing the total to 25,000.




        In environmental sustainability, the Municipality's teams completed 4,331 inspections, with

        a focus on projects, industrial, and service facilities. They utilized a smart inspection

        system to streamline environmental monitoring and conducted 783 inspections on marine

        environments and coastal regions, ensuring compliance with environmental laws.

        Additionally, 170 visits were made as part of the natural reserves monitoring program.



        Public health inspections totalled 2,962, focusing on veterinary facilities and public health

        pest control companies. The Municipality also issued 305 No Objection Certificates for

        veterinary activities and 1,963 veterinary health certifications for export shipments. They

        managed 3,305 reports related to stray animals and animal welfare and inspected 160,402

        slaughtered animals for food safety.




        The Dubai Central Laboratory inspected 13,600 legal measuring instruments, achieving a

        conformity rate exceeding 99%. The comprehensive inspections reflect Dubai
