Dubai Municipality conducts 52,233 inspections in
environment, health, and food fields during first
half of 2024

• The Municipality conducted around 26,566 inspections through six campaigns held for monitoring health
and safety activities
• It also organized 18,374 inspection visits to various food establishments, including restaurants, to guarantee
food health and safety
• Around 4,331 inspection visits were also organized to monitor the safety and sustainability of the maritime
environment, nature reserves, and industrial facilities
• Additionally, 2,962 inspection visits were held, which were aimed at abattoirs, veterinary organizations, and
General Health Pest Control companies
Dubai, UAE, July 30, 2024:
Dubai Municipality carried out 52,233 inspection visits in the fields of environment, health, and food during
the first half of 2024. These visits were targeted at ensuring that various activities and organizations in the
city were adhering to the standards adopted regarding consumer products, food safety, health, and safety, as
well as general health, in addition to the approved environmental standards.
Dr. Naseem Mohammad Rafee, Acting CEO of Environment, Health & Safety Agency at Dubai Municipality,
highlighted the Municipality’s commitment to conducting regular inspection visits and campaigns throughout
the year to create a robust food and health ecosystem, as well as a sustainable and conducive environment
that supports flexible food supply chains and ensures food security in Dubai. Dr. Rafee additionally stated
that the Municipality aims to maintain a sustainable environment and preserve natural resources, thereby
strengthening Dubai’s position as an appealing and sustainable city offering exceptional quality of living.
