The open 10km race saw Madiwalappa S. Humbi and Nitu Kumari emerge victorious in the
men’s and women’s categories. Dr Binu Nambiar topped the members and family 10km
segment in the men’s division, while Naveen Kumar and Jaimol K. Joseph clinched the top
spots in the veterans 10km men’s and women’s categories, respectively.

The 3km health awareness run witnessed enthusiastic participation, with Adarsh Gopi winning
the men’s race. Shyamalan C.P. and Nisha Vinod secured first place in the members and family
3km segment for men and women, respectively.

UAE Minister participates in special ‘Year of Community’ run

Adding to the event’s significance, UAE’s Cabinet member and Minister of Economy Abdulla
Bin Touq Al Marri participated in a 5km community run, held as part of the eighth edition of
the Kannur Beach Run. His involvement, at the special invitation of Dr Shamsheer Vayalil,
chairman and Managing Director of UAE-based VPS Healthcare, served as a tribute to the
UAE’s 2025 ‘Year of Community 2025’ initiative launched by President Sheikh Mohamed bin
Zayed Al Nahyan to promote social responsibility and collective progress.
