         Second edition of Japan-Kyoto Trade Exhibition opens in Dubai



          Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, officially opened the second Japan-Kyoto Trade
          Exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Monday, February 10.







































        According to Amac News, The prestigious event will bring together more than 120 Japanese companies and brands, reinforcing the

        UAE’s position as a strategic hub for Japanese trade and investment in the region.
        The Japan-Kyoto Trade Exhibition is set to become an annual event in the Middle East, providing a platform for Japanese companies

        to showcase their products and services.
        Mai Sakao, CEO of Maico Enterprise, the company that organized the fair, said that more than 100 companies and brands will be
        participating in the fair. This expansion demonstrates the importance of the UAE as a gateway for Japanese businesses.
        On September 18, 2024, the UAE and Japan launched negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) to

        open up new opportunities for economic cooperation and drive sustainable growth.
        The Japan Trade Fair, which will be held from February 10 to 12, 2025, will bring together a diverse range of Japanese companies

        from various sectors including technology, artificial intelligence, aerospace, food, engineering, sustainability, tourism, healthcare,
        arts and crafts.
        As  the  first  dedicated  comprehensive  platform  to  showcase  Japanese  innovations  in  the  GCC,  the  fair  will  provide  a  valuable
        opportunity to connect with industry leaders, buyers, retailers and key decision-makers in Japan, the UAE and the Middle East.

        The  2025  edition  has  also  attracted  a  significant  number  of  Japanese  startups  looking  to  explore  investment  and  financing
        opportunities in the UAE. These startups will present their latest innovations to visitors, investors and business leaders.

        In his opening speech, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade said that the expansion of UAE-Japan relations continues. He
        explained that bilateral non-oil trade between the two countries reached approximately US$17.7 billion in 2024, an increase of 2.2%
        compared to 2023 and a growth of 32% compared to 2021.
        According to him, Japan is the UAE’s ninth largest trading partner globally, while the country is Japan’s largest trading partner in the

        Persian Gulf region.
