Haidar Omar Al Hashmi, Acting Executive Director of the Prevention and

Preparedness Sector at the ADCMC, remarked that, “Crises and disasters
pose significant challenges to societies, necessitating heightened

awareness of associated risks. Education equips individuals with essential
knowledge and skills to understand and manage these risks while

disseminating information on how to respond effectively.”

The research utilized a descriptive and comparative analytical methodology

to assess education’s role in disaster awareness. It draws on various global
experiences, including those from the UAE, and outlines key factors that

amplify the effectiveness of education in emergency response. These
factors include crisis preparedness plans and a comprehensive

understanding of local community characteristics.

Additionally, the report engages into methods for acquiring disaster
prevention techniques, the capacity to rehabilitate crisis-affected areas, and

the availability of effective tools. It advocates for utilizing traditional
