sectors. It also highlights their mutual commitment to implementing

circular economy principles as part of national strategies aimed at

achieving sustainable development and prosperity.

Held at the Address Beach Resort in Diyar Al Muharraq, the forum

focused on the circular economy as an integrated economic model

designed to promote sustainability and economic growth through waste

reduction, increased efficiency, recycling, and conservation of natural and

raw resources.

Fahad Mohammed bin Kardous Al Ameri, Ambassador of the UAE to

Bahrain, highlighted the circular economy as a key driver of sustainability,

resource efficiency, and innovation. He noted that the UAE has adopted a

national circular economy policy focused on green infrastructure,

sustainable transport, manufacturing, and food systems, with investments

targeting USD 160 billion over the next three decades.

Ambassador Al Ameri also underlined the UAE’s leadership in creating a

supportive environment for circular investment, aligned with its Vision

2071.

The event included a recorded address by Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri,

Minister of Economy of the UAE, who described the circular economy as a

core pillar of the country’s new economic model under "We the UAE

2031". He said the UAE has developed 22 policies to accelerate its
