and strengthen its position as a global centre for culture and human heritage.
The agreement also seeks to enhance international partnerships with institutions such as UNESCO
and maritime heritage centres in Asia and Europe.
Leadership support for heritage and sport
Al Kindi pointed out that the presence of Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan,
Chairman of the UAE Marine Sports Federation, provided strong support for participants and
organisers alike, reflecting the official interest in reviving maritime heritage and empowering new
generations to embrace it.
