A major highlight of India’s participation is the expected launch of the UPI-UPU Integration project. The
initiative will link India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) with the Universal Postal Union’s
Interconnection Platform, creating a secure and affordable channel for remittances. The project is expected to

benefit millions of Indian families abroad and strengthen cross-border financial flows.

Scindia is also scheduled to deliver a keynote address outlining India’s vision for a modern and inclusive

postal ecosystem. The delegation will engage with representatives from 192 member countries to share
expertise and build partnerships on technology adoption, sustainability and equitable access to services.

India has also offered its candidature for the Council of Administration and the Postal Operations Council of
the Universal Postal Union

sustainable future", said Vandita Kaul, Secretary, Department of Posts.
