and Appro Onboarding Solutions to enhance digital integration of
‘Growth’ platform
MoUs signed on the sidelines of Ministry's participation at Gitex Global 2024
Abu Dhabi, October 18, 2024:
The Ministry of Economy (MoEc) announced the signing of three Memorandums of
Understanding (MoUs) with Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, Etisalat Group (e&), and
Appro Onboarding Solutions to enhance the digital integration of the National Economic Registry
‘Growth’ - and expand its partner base. The collaborations will facilitate the digital exchange of
data between the ‘Growth’ platform and the three partner entities. The signing took place on the
sidelines of the Ministry's participation at Gitex Global 2024, held from October 14 to 18 at the
Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
The MoUs were signed by H.E. Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of
Economy; Mouza Obaid Al Nasri, Acting CEO of Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development;
Ahmed Al Shamsi, Chief Corporate Affairs and Security Officer at Etisalat Group (e&), and
Iftikhar Salem, CEO of Appro Onboarding Solutions.
H.E. Al Saleh said: “The Ministry of Economy launched the National Economic Registry -
‘Growth’ platform earlier this month and we are committed to continually developing it in
collaboration with our public and private sector partners to support the country’s digital
transformation. The agreements signed today are a key step forward in reducing the time required
to access the platform's services and technically linking it with 100 entities across the country over
the next two years. This aligns with the UAE’s vision of transitioning to a new digital economy
and eliminating government bureaucracy, in line with the 'We the UAE 2031' vision."
The MoUs focus on enhancing cooperation in digital integration and data exchange through the
‘Growth’ platform, while ensuring the privacy and protection of user data. The agreements also
aim to develop the Ministry and the three partners’ employees' skills and performance through
coordination and the exchange of best practices in shared work areas. This collaboration supports
national goals by enabling the availability of data to decision-makers, boosting the UAE’s global
competitiveness, offering proactive services, and ensuring adherence to standardized
methodologies that improve data quality across all emirates.
