This initiative, in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Defense and the
National Service and Reserve Authority, aims to fortify business continuity
in critical sectors during emergencies by equipping personnel with essential
skills through targeted training.
The total number of recruits in the Alternative National Service program
has now reached 260, as part of a broader strategy to establish 30 active
agencies in Abu Dhabi by early 2025.
The program began with the first batch in March 2023, comprising 86
recruits deployed across three government entities. This was followed by
the second batch in September 2023, which added 15 recruits to two more
entities. The third batch, launched in February 2024, included 41 recruits
distributed among five government agencies.
His Excellency Matar Al Nuaimi, Director-General of ADCMC, emphasized
the program’s alignment with Abu Dhabi’s vision of ensuring uninterrupted
operations amid crises. ADCMC oversees recruit placements, performance
evaluations, and ongoing training while implementing Business Continuity
Management systems across entities.
Brigadier Hamad Khalifa Al Neyadi of the National Service and Reserve
Authority lauded ADCMC’s efforts, highlighting the program’s role in
leveraging young UAE Nationals’ skills to enhance operational
effectiveness.
