The Family Development Foundation (FDF) and the Government Empowerment Department, in collaboration with the Department of Community Development –
Abu Dhabi, have launched a new flexible work service. The initiative enables Emirati employees who serve as primary caregivers for their elderly parents to benefit
from flexible working arrangements. This service is part of the ‘Barakatna’ initiative, launched by the President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al
Nahyan.
The initiative aims to empower caregivers by helping them strike a balance between their family responsibilities and professional obligations. It is designed to
ensure optimal care for senior citizens, reinforce family cohesion, and enhance overall quality of life within supportive and adaptable work environments.
