ABU DHABI: The UAE Ramadan moon sighting for Fatwa has urged residents to watch for

the crescent moon of Ramadan 1446 AH on Friday, February 28, 2025. This marks the potential start
of the holy month, depending on the lunar sighting.

The Ramadan Crescent Moon Sighting Committee, under the Council, has been assigned the task of
confirming the first day of Ramadan. The committee follows Islamic traditions in determining the lunar

calendar, ensuring accuracy in religious observances.

Residents who sight the crescent moon are encouraged to report their observations through the official
