Dubai to train 10,000 workers in AI by 2030

Dubai plans to upskill over 10,000 workers in AI by 2030 through a new partnership between the Dubai Government Human
Resources Department and Dubai AI Campus. The initiative, which includes the ‘AI for Civil Service’ programme, will train
government employees and business leaders to integrate generative AI tools into their work. Aligned with the Dubai Economic
Agenda (D33), the collaboration aims to strengthen workforce capabilities and support the city’s digital transformation goals.

In a strategic move to future-proof
its workforce, the Dubai

Government Human Resources
Department has signed a

Memorandum of Understanding
with the Dubai AI Campus, an
initiative of the Dubai International

Financial Centre (DIFC), to
accelerate AI skill development across the public and private sectors. The partnership

aims to train over 10,000 individuals by 2030, directly supporting the talent
transformation goals outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).

A key initiative under the partnership is the ‘AI for Civil Service’ programme,
specifically designed for government employees. The programme will train civil servants

to integrate generative AI into public service delivery through hands-on seminars, real-
world project work, mentoring, and career development tracks. Additional training
modules will target executive leaders and mid-level managers, supporting a broader shift

toward AI-enabled decision-making in the workplace.
