8/5/25, 9:59 AM Al Ain Centre Boosts Abu Dhabi Emergency Readiness
operations centre in Abu Dhabi city. That sometimes caused delays, especially if the
emergency was far away.
Now, with the new centre in Al Ain, decisions can be made locally and quickly, which
means better protection for the community. This centre will work side by side with the
main centre in Abu Dhabi. It is like adding another strong arm to help in times of trouble.
This also means that the people living in Al Ain and nearby regions can feel safer knowing
that there is a team close by, ready to act anytime.
What the Officials Are Saying
His Excellency Dr Abdullah Hamarain Al Dhaheri, who is the Executive Director of
the Response and Recovery Sector at ADCMC, spoke during the launch. He shared how
important this centre is for Abu Dhabi’s future and safety. He said that opening the Al Ain
Coordination and Monitoring Centre is a major achievement. It shows how serious the
government is about building a strong system for managing emergencies.
He added that this move is part of a long-term plan to create an advanced, connected, and
effective system for handling all types of crises. The goal is not only to react to
emergencies but to be prepared even before something happens. This is called a proactive
approach, which means stopping problems before they grow bigger.
Working Together with Everyone
One of the most important points His Excellency made was about teamwork. He
explained that ADCMC is working closely with strategic partners, local authorities, and
other key groups. This cooperation ensures that all sides are ready and coordinated.
For example, if there is a fire or a flood, the emergency response teams, hospitals, police,
rescue units, and many others must work together. That is why a place like the Al Ain
Centre is so helpful. It brings all of these teams together in one system so they can respond
faster and more effectively.
This also helps in training, planning, and practicing emergency drills before anything
happens. It's always better to be ready than to be surprised.
Better Planning and Quick Action
Another key message from ADCMC is that quick field response is very important in any
emergency. His Excellency Dr Al Dhaheri pointed out that field coordination—which
means organizing and directing teams who are out in the real world—is one of the most
important parts of handling emergencies.
The new Al Ain Centre will help manage these field teams better. With its help, Abu Dhabi
can make faster decisions that are based on real situations in real-time.
