Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The Education, Human Development and
Community Development Council held its second meeting of 2026 under the
chairmanship of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister,
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Council.
The virtual session was attended by Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al
Nahyan, Vice-Chairperson of the Council, along with senior ministers and officials.
Focus on Regulating Children’s Social Media Use
The meeting addressed key national priorities, including regulating children’s use of
social media, strengthening digital safety frameworks, advancing education policies
and curricula, and reviewing results of students’ standardised assessments.
