About 593 million jour neys made on Dub ai's ro ads went through Salik's toll gates in 2023,
according to figures rele ased by the comp any.

The net wor k is to be ex tended to 10 in November with fur ther toll gates at the Business Bay
Crossing on Al Khail Ro ad and in Al Safa South on Sheikh Zayed Ro ad, bet ween Al Meydan
and Umm Al Sheif streets.

Toll charges are registered through Salik tags, attached to windscreens, which c an be
purchased online or at ser vice stations.

These c an be topped up online or through recharge c ards.

Each time you dr ive through a Salik toll gate, radio frequency identific ation technology
detects a vehicle and sc ans the Salik sticker tag.

Motor ists are charged Dh4 to p ass through e ach gate and the amount is deducted
automatic ally from the c ard.

Dr ivers c an set up an online account through the dedic ated Salik app to monitor the
amount of credit they have remaining and top up when necessar y.
