Dubai: The UAE Food Bank, an initiative under the Mohammed

bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, in

association with Taya Art Production, has started the ‘Cook of

Thousand Meals’ initiative, under which 20 thousand meals were

prepared and distributed for Iftar and Suhoor.

In Hatta and Za’beel, Dubai, the program was implemented, and
more than thirty volunteers helped with the packing, cooking,

and preparation phases. This program aligns with the Bank’s

goal of feeding 5 million people during the fasting month of

Ramadan.

The program aims to bring together locals and Emirati chefs to

work together on food preparation and donation to the Bank. By

highlighting the value of keeping food from going to waste and

giving it to those in need, this project seeks to promote a feeling

of civic duty and collaboration.
