Dubai Municipality is intensifying its monitoring campaigns and inspection
visits to ensure food safety and public health standards are upheld during the
               holy month of Ramadan.

Dubai Municipality ramps up inspection efforts for Ramadan food
               safety

The comprehensive campaigns cover various sectors, including Dubai's
markets, commercial centers, food establishments, food preparation facilities,
restaurants, hotels, hypermarkets, and supermarkets. Additionally, the scope
extends to salons, beauty centers, smoking areas in cafes and restaurants,
gaming and event areas, as well as labor cities and community markets
               across the emirate.
As part of its commitment to ensuring the highest standards during Ramadan,
the municipality is closely monitoring compliance with safety regulations and
food safety standards. This includes rigorous adherence to approved food
safety protocols throughout the food preparation process, storage, handling,
and cooking, with a focus on maintaining the quality and freshness of
               ingredients.
Sultan Al Taher, Director of the Food Safety Department at Dubai
Municipality, emphasized the significance of Ramadan preparations,
particularly in monitoring food preparation establishments, communal
kitchens, warehouses, food and consumer complexes, hotels, hypermarkets,
and markets. The primary objective is to guarantee that all residents have
access to nutritious, secure, and safe food adhering to the highest food safety
               standards.
To accommodate Ramadan, Dubai Municipality has adjusted the opening
hours of key facilities, including those in Al Quoz, Al Lesili, Al Qusais, and
Hatta. Operating hours during Ramadan will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.,
Saturday to Thursday, with Friday hours from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to
               4 p.m.
