MERMAID TASHA
Tasha Haight is an internationally performing
professional mermaid as well as a reporter and copy
editor for Fins Magazine. In 2015, she modeled for
Fantasy Artz’s new body glitter as a mermaid and,
in 2017, she joined Morgana Alba and two others as
a Circus Siren.
Today, she can be found swimming across the
globe to help bring awareness to marine life and
conservation efforts. Most recently, Tasha has
spent two months in South Africa working with
SharkLife Conservation Group and the sand tiger
sharks. Tasha has also been featured on QAC TV and

CBS’s Delmarva Life for her environmental work as
a mermaid and has partnered with Oceana Mid-
Atlantic, Delaware Sea Grant, Assateague Coastal
Trust, and Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center
for environmentally focused events.
Tasha still works with the Circus Siren Pod,
enchanting patrons at renaissance faires and pirate
festivals across the Mid-Atlantic. Her favorite gig was
a synchronized swim routine at Harrah’s Casino and
she hopes to one day have an aquarium residency
or television show with the pod. Additionally, Tasha
has her own mermaid business that focuses on
birthday parties, photoshoots, smaller events,
and mermaid lessons. Tasha is a FinFun Mermaid
University mermaid instructor and conducts
private and group lessons as well as weekend long
Mermaid Camp intensives.
Tasha holds many relevant certifications in addition
to both performer and instructor insurances. She
is a certified lifeguard, first aid and CPR responder,
rescue SCUBA diver, freediver, and yes, she’s even
mermaid certified! Tasha also holds her Master
of Business Administration degree from Loyola
University Maryland and runs her own digital
marketing company that focuses on website
development, social media management, and
press releases.
She looks forward to bringing her mermaid and
aquatic background to Fins Magazine and sharing
her knowledge of business and the industry.
