I have always been drawn to the water. It whispers promises of rejuvenation and eternal life. So calming,
serene, beautiful, yet at the same time deep, with mysteries below. Being a mermaid brings amazing
wonders of the underwater world. I have experienced swimming alongside sea turtles, sharks, tropical
fish, and more. Looe Key Reef, Florida Keys, is my backyard. I cherish the feeling of water gently flowing
over my skin, feeling at one with the planet and its life source. I had the immense honor of being a
mermaid for the 36th Annual Underwater Music Festival last year and will do it again. The goal is to
raise awareness for coral preservation. I am currently on the team presenting the Second annual Key
West Mermaid Festival July 2021. I am a retired critical care nurse of 25 years, now working for a Blue
Star Operator dive shop. I am SSI Mermaid instructor certified. I enjoy sharing the amazing experience
of power and beauty tails and fins can give by certifying mermaids! I plan to continue working for
reef renewal, coral preservation, and sharing the wonderful world of mer with any others wanting to
experience it.
