Its basement was used as an air raid shelter during the Second World War.
Cunard moved out in the 1960s - relocating its headquarters to New York City
and its UK office to Southampton to be closer to passengers in London, having
established a base at its port in 1919.
Since then, Cunard has brought many of its ships and events to Liverpool.
But its UK base remains on the South Coast.
