Fireworks at the Liverpool Waterfront (Image: Liverpool ECHO)
As Queen Anne made her way from the cruise terminal and sat in front of the
Three Graces, the evening rounded off with a cacophony of noise and colour.
The magnitude of the fireworks display was quite something.
Pyrotechnics were fired into the air from the roof of the Cunard Building,
from the cruise terminal berth and from further down the Pier Head.
Soundtracked by Craig, the display was heard across Merseyside - Liverpool
doesn't do half measures.
Eurovision showed that the Pier Head is the perfect location for such a party.
Yesterday reiterated that.
It is Liverpool's greatest asset and it should host events like this every
summer. Everyone in this city is proud of our waterfront and relishes the
chance to be brought together there - the joyous atmosphere every time
testifies to that.
