Christmas at Cadogan Hall
Cadogan Hall has announced its festive programme for
December, featuring a world premiere performance by
Westminster Cathedral Choir and highlights from The Sixteen
and The Bach Choir.
Today (3 December) Westminster Cathedral Choir under Peter
Stevens performs a programme of pieces centred around the text O
magnum mysterium as part of the year-round Choral at Cadogan
series. The performance features the world premiere of Joanna
Marsh’s motet, alongside the choir’s traditional Advent repertoire and
contemporary Christmas favourites.
On 10 December, Westminster Cathedral Choir School Gallery Choir
returns to the Hall to perform a free carol concert with coffee and
mince pies. The Choir with No Name presents the ‘Big Christmas
Singalong’ on 13 December as part of its mission to run choirs for
homeless and marginalised people. All four of its choirs come together
for this 10th anniversary Christmas performance.
Following a sold-out show in 2018, Carols by Candlelight with the
Mozart Festival Chorus and Orchestra comes to the Hall on 15 and 16
December. The concert will be led by Steven Devine and features
soprano Susanna Hurrell and special guest reader Timothy West. As
