He concluded his speech by hoping that the government would adopt a package
of classical music and music education involving live performances, noting that
"music is vital to the UK's soft power, generating £1100 billion a year in revenue." ”
Opening the festive award ceremony with this way of attacking the government and
pointing out contradictions and problems can be said to be characteristic of similar
events in the West, in order to arouse attention and attract attention.
In the ensuing award session, 27-year-old organist and choral conductor Anna
Lapwood received the "Contribution to Change the Status Quo" award.
