Like an extraterrestrial guest in oxblood red, this tower rises into the barren
high plateau of the pass, surrounded by peaks, a fixed point of solitude,
more a stage design than a house, a decagonal panopticon with niches and
arched windows. Inside, a nothingness of a room whose floor, the stage, can
be raised and lowered on chains, while up to 220 spectators in the window
boxes are allowed to feel alternately free and enclosed, the metaphor of our
existence: From the inside of a lockdown, the longing look into the distant
freedom.
