The snow, the pass height are the accompanying climatic imposition. The

film crew started last November in a lack of snow, only to be surprised by

the sudden onset of winter, which threatened to doom the whole company

to failure. Sometimes the crew had to dig up from drifts, then the frost was
added, which almost threw the limbs – and the equipment – off track.

Appl recorded some song parts outdoors, which was part of the

choreography. It required sound connections to the pianist in the tower,
even if the snow blew in between. A terrific achievement of the technicians.
