• When did you first come across the opera Bluebeard’s Castle?

I bought a CD of it by accident when I was a student and listened to it on
repeat and loved the sound world but never saw a staged production
until much later.

• Can you share the plot with us in 5 sentences?

Man brings new wife home to dank, dark castle. All the doors are
locked. She demands he open each one. He resists, knowing dark
secrets lay behind them. Wife insists and faces the truth about her new
life.
