Conceptual Understanding to Renew Number Sense and
Procedural Fluency
During this session participants will explore hands-on, concrete experiences to gain
conceptual understanding then engage in discourse to examine how these experiences can
lead to increased number sense and procedural fluency. Participants will take-away new ideas
for exploring mathematical concepts as well as a deeper understanding of how to help
students improve mathematical fluency.
