Fund. Balmer Lawrie allocated Rs. 1 Crore from
its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Fund
and the rest of the amount was voluntary
contribution of one day’s salary by the employees of
the Company.
Payment to Outsourcing Staff during Lockdown
Period
No deductions were made and the Company
ensured that their salaries were released by the
outsourcing agencies on the scheduled dates.
Social Support to needy by
providing food & shelter
As part of CSR activities undertaken during the
COVID-19 lockdown period, IP – Chittoor distributed
food items to migrants and underprivileged families
in villages near the plant in the month of April 2020.
Medical support to address health crisis
Medical attendants / visiting doctors at different
offices / units pan India were available for consultation
during the lockdown period. Interactions with
empanelled hospitals were initiated and in case,
any employee or family member needs COVID-19
related treatment, necessary help will be extended
without any hurdle. PRMBS beneficiaries were also
provided single point of contact for taking care of
their medical needs.
Preventive Measures (for the Organisation
and Employees)
Balmer Lawrie has joined the country to fight the
global pandemic Coronavirus (COVID-19). The
Company has taken stringent measures as per the
directive of the Government and implemented
various initiatives to ensure the safety of all employees
and maintain business continuity. These include
adopting SOPs that include dissemination of Do’s
& Don’ts for employees to follow at the workplace,
office / plants sanitisation guidelines, hygiene
measures, guidelines on social distancing and
wearing masks, action on various travel advisories,
implementation of protocols on surveillance, proper
