Then Jack told me the story

Of how he went to town,

Sold the cow, got the beans,

And let his mother down.

Jack told his mom how
He bought the magic
Beans at the store.

She said there was no magic,
And she threw them on the fl oor.

Jack told me how his mother made
Him throw the beans outside.

Then Jack ran into his room,

And he told me how he cried.

Jack told me when he woke,

He found a great surprise.

He looked out his window,
And could not believe his eyes.

We both ran back to his house,
And we saw this great big tree.

It stretched up into the clouds,
As far as we could see.
