Fan Block with Red Centers Victorian era. Purchase from Puyallup antique shop in 2000. 72½"x81" Fabric:
Wool, cotton, velveteen, tweed, textured dress fabrics, mostly solid color, some plaids. Batting: None dis-
cernible. Backing: Calico in black or navy with tiny flowers of pink, yellow, white and green. Edge: Border
is velveteen (combed cotton?) Back is brought ¼" to the front and top-stitched. Piecing: Probably by ma-
chine. All seams are covered with yellow cross-stitches. Quilting: Hand stitching is visible on the back
along the seams of blocks. Condition: Excellent.
